Another way do it would be to get some universal louvers, cut the appropriate holes and put them in. There's a bunch of places that sell a variety of styles, either fiberglass ones you could mold on, or metal ones with rivets. Here's an example of an install: http://members.aol.com/Racepower/hoodlouverinstall.htm

Im not a huge fan of the Mariah bumper slot myself, but hey, thats how they designed it.I also agree that my car doesnt look good from all angles in pictures. That has bugged me for a long time and its partly why I have over 13 pages of pics on my online album. In person though,I and most everyone else agrees that its sharp, wheather its your preffered style or not.

The enlargement of the slot in the middle was a necessity to provide adequate oil cooling. Before the final body and paint work was completed,I had issues keeping my oil temps in check with the large IC and radiator taking up all the airflow through the main inlet.Thats why I made the new mouth to give the oil cooler its own dedicated air supply.I also dropped in a 300ZX turbo oil cooler in the left chin vent for bit more.
It was an impulse decision that did provide an increase in cooling performance,if not perfect, asthetically.Function over form is almost always the rule with a turbo rotary. All the vents and slots in the front of my car are there for a specific purpose and they work very well,40K miles of perfect running has proven it.

BTW,the blue racer......SA-WEET.I seriously contemplated going with a full race motif on my car,you know, graphics and sponsers under the clearcoat.I finally decided to keep it red and black because I was used to it.
