Rx7 FB idler arm sources

Hello everyone, been awhile since I’ve posted but I am working on getting some stuff done to post in my build thread for all of you . Anyway, today I dismantled the front steering setup and screwed up the threads on the idler arm... now what I’m wondering, does anyone know if there is still a source to purchase new idler arms, aftermarket or oem?

I’ve looked on here, I see the moog ones everywhere but I know they don’t make them anymore, wondering where or what to look for. I’ll probably make a post in the marketplace as well....

thanks everyone, please reply if you have something to add....

The bushings are still available but the arm itself is difficult to find. The last time I looked, I was unsuccessful in finding the whole arm.

Does anyone know about the beck/arnley idler arm? Is it a viable replacement, are they still available?? I called moot and confirmed they do not make the heavy duty aftermarket idler. May call beck/arnley too....

I have a similar question. I was going to buy the Moog idler arm but they are not available anywhere right now. Are they out of production?

I've periodically searched for a Moog idler arm for the last year+. Moog no longer makes them and they never show up on Ebay. I ordered one from a drop shipper that claimed to have them...ended up in a refund situation.

So instead I bought new bushings from Mazda. They're still available but I'm not sure if they are still making new ones. Maybe @j9fd3s could comment on stock levels?

1524-32-329B is available, Mazda USA has plenty, it also crosses to a Nissan 48544-H1000. typically the Mazda one is green and the Nissan is a brown...

The only downside is that if the ball joint section fails, a new arm must be ordered.

Unfortunately, I need the actual arm itself. I dropped it so perfectly that the threads has mushroomed and chasing the threads was a failure. Still haven’t confirmed if there is a replacement arm or not yet. I have confirmed MOOG does not manufacture the idler arms for our cars any longer....

No connection to this, just always on the lookout for un-obtainium.

I understand the price if one must have the arm, otherwise that's just too much. On the other hand, if they are all NLA, I guess it becomes a supply and demand pricing thing.

Holy crap, that's ridiculous! I hope there's rebuild kits for those that can be rebuilt.

Something to keep an eye on. Did it say what brand it was?
