Rx-87

So I got a crazy idea lastnight. What if I went to the junkyard and completely striped the interior of a totaled RX-7 and installed it into my RX-7. Anyone think it's possible?

From which series of 7? kenn chan has an FC dash in his 1st gen. Search for threads started by him, you will find it. It's a buttload of work and not really worth it unless you are doing the full FC engine swap too, imho. There is also a current thread of a member from NZ, iirc, that has a 3rd gen dash.

Other than absolutely nothing lining up due to floorpan differences, vehicle length, vehicle height, door size/shape and firewall size/shape......no problems at all.

Your talking two completely different cars.......completely.
Anything can be done with fiberglass,cutters,sheetmetal,ect......its just a matter of how much time, money and desire you have to do the job.

I've got both. They won't fit. The front seats will, but aside from that, it would take a lot of fabricating.

If you have that much time and ambition use it for something more worthwile like an engine swap or something (any kind, take your pick ) Although there was that JDM SA with the renesis in it that they also used the gauge cluster from the 8 in as well and it looked pretty cool...
