Cool Rx-7's gone wild

I was watching (worlds Wildest police chases) earlier today and there was a brown 1st Gen in alma Arkansas that was stolen and the police were chasing them at 100MPH through some curvie roads right until; ...............unforunately.................it went off the road. One thing I was laughing about is that the person speaking said "it was a 240 horse powered car" it looked pretty stock to me?????????????? just thought I would let yall know. it was pretty cool.

I bet it didn't take long to blink through Alma at 100 mph. It might just be 240 ahp. bhp is brake horsepower and it's pretty standard in 49 of the states. But, those Arkansas horses are different than regular ones. The amount of suction that it takes to suck a 2" trailer ball through a 1/2 inch "hose pipe" equals one arkansas horsepower.

I saw it last night when I was at my girlfriends house. She laughed at me when I nearly shrieked when the cop tried doing the PIT manuever to the -7-. Then, when it spun off the road, I closed my eyes; she got a kick out of that.

I was like, "Those are rare. I hate seeing one being trashed."
She said, "Hey, look at it like this, it makes your's more rare."

So thats why people look at my stock 84 GSL and wonder "how in theeeeeee hell does not thing put out 200+ hp"! I just shrug my shoulders and say "it's all in the pinstripes".

But yea, I did see that a couple years ago and thought I just heard that incorrectly or that I just had one of the slowest first gens out there.
