Im pretty sure this is covered in the FAQ but any ways...
SA - 79-80 early models of the first gens, had different bumpers and different interior
FB - 81-85 first gens
FC - Second generation RX7
FD - Third Generation RX7
Heres the link to the thread

IMO - in my opinion
IMHO - in my honest opinion
Good to see your new but a warning, people here get angry when you post without doing a search first... Its a powerful tool on this site, almost everything has been covered before..

I tried this same kind of post when I was a super newbie (I've graduated to just newbie) with no success. All I can say is good luck. For my part, I try to spell everything out, because it really isn't that tough to do. But, there aren't too many that do. So good luck!

a newb will come across the likes of cold start assist system, rat's nest, etc. but all that is in the threads. You can't read it all and you can't search what you have no idea of, but wait til you get a word or phrase that throws you and search for it.
Welcome aboard.

Guys, there is NO 10th Anniversary 1st gen.
Think about it. The first Rx7 was released in 1979. For there to be a 10th anniversary edition, there would have to be first gens being made in 1989. There weren't. But there WERE second gens. And thus, the 10AE (10th Anniversary Edition) was a second Gen.
