Rx-7 modifications

Hey all, i am new here. I am looking into buying my friends 83 rx-7. He got it checked out at rx-7 specialties and there is still a few thousand km's left before the motor needs to be rebuilt. The car is in awesome shape and its got a new coat of championship white paint.

I was wondering which direction would be best to modify the motor. I have two options.

Option 1: A co-worker has a T-3 turbo which i can buy. I thought of running a blow through turbo set up changing the apex seals to 3mm and getting a street port.

Option 2: Second option would be to swap out the 12a in favor of a 13b.

Which would be the better option. Thanks for the input

Put in a 13B and THEN install the T3 turbo!!

BTW-I fix cars for a living too and I am still learning!!
