rubuilding a carb

as for rebuilding a carb, would it be safer for me just to drop it off somewhere for a day and spend the extra 50-100 bux for labor...kinda would feel safer letting a pro do it for me seeing that Im told its my carb that is causing me to fail smog test...kinda need the carb to be perfectly redone if possible

Well rumour has it that bolting the ACV open will help you pass smog. Rumours to be used at your own risk.

Cali has the highest emissions laws anywhere.

For carb rebuilds, I doubt you'll be able to find a "local expert" who can do it for you.

Either do it yourself, or send it off to Rx7Carl/Sterling to get it rebuilt. If you want it done right, you want it done by them... but it won't be cheap.
