I'm not sure about cost, with your guys monopoly money at the moment

But you'll need a clutch, flywheel, spigot bearing, pedal box, clutch slave and master cylinder, a different driveshaft and of course the manual box itself. There are some subtle differences with the electrics, but less than 5 hours worth.

I would guess that if you're going to roll your car into a garage and pick it up the next week without having done anything yourself, you'd be looking at US$2k minimum. But then I'm not sure what prices you guys charge in the US of A.

If you have a 12A I have the driveshaft clutch and all the pieces of the tranny still intact on the engine. I'm keeping the clutch pedal though but lokar sells them through summit racing and places as such.

If you take your time to find things, it can be done for cheap.

The only parts you need to buy new would be the clutch disc, master/slave cylinders, pilot bearing and seal, and the throwout bearing.

Everything else you can find used for fairly cheap.

Altogether including the synthetic gear oil that went into the 5spd, the total spent was surely under $500 CDN

If you look around, you can probably pick up a whole car for a few hundred bucks and not have to worry about scrounging around for all of the "little stuff" that will doller you to death. I just recently picked up a complete '79 for $100. Good luck!

I picked up an 86 for free that I took the drivetrain out of. (brother has the shell)

With that Transmission, a lightweight flywheel I got for $80 and a bunch of other stuff mine has added up to 300 or so.
