Question Rotor Housing Studs – Question

In the rotor housing there is a stud right by the water passage. Has anyone taken these out to use bolts for the intake instead of these studs? Just checking. I do not want to break anything. Please let me know how it went pulling them and using bolts.

Thanks!

Bump, someone hs pulled these studs haven't they?
Are they into a water passage? Do they tend to break as you try to pull them? Is there a horror story out there about someone who pulled them?

those studs also holds the intake manifold. its not hard to remove. just use 2 nuts and 2 12mm wrenches. Or if you dont care about the studs, then just use vice grip to unscrew them.

I think the studs are there to keep you from stripping the threads in the engine when tightening the intake down. Im sure you could use bolts without a problem, just make sure to use some crap to make sure the bolts dont get stuck in there

Complete intake setups can be pretty heavy and quite a pain to hold in place while trying to screw in the bolts if didn't have the studs to sit on.

That true, the studs do make it easier to line up.
