rotor change..

i was wondering...could you change the rotors on a gs to se without changing the whole suspension or would it be wise to change the whole thing..the reason i ask is because i like the 12 gears on the 84..quicker (i believe in the 1/4...and top end with 16 inches would be sweet being that rpm would be lower....

back in the day me and a friend raced each other like all the time we both had the same motor setup..but at take off with stock 13inches i would smoke him then i got the same rims 16inches and still laft him ..not as bad but after a while he would seem to catch up but not quite and around 110 mph i would start to pull away(boy i miss those days but glad they are gone speed is no joke very danger if you can't drive)...now i got a 84 gs posi rear and want bigger rims but not sure about what to do...pls help ....willing to do a suspension swap..but will miss the take off..

As far I as I know, the only way to change the rotors is to change the whole suspension. But with a SE rear you also get a shorter final drive, which is good for launching if you keep the same rolling cir. as a GS.

Front rotors can be swapped for SE ones if you have 84-85 spindles, in fact the second gen hubs will slide on also. I'm not too sure about the rears though.
