diesels dont need bov's because the throttle plates dont close like a gas engine TO MY KNOWLEDGE, this is somewhat accurate. has anyone ever driven a big rig and tried compression brake, yeah it dont work that well, haha

Close.. but diesels just plain don't have throttle plates. No such thing in a diesel. So they have no use for a BOV.
