Rotary Samurai Pictures
Ok, so I couldnt find the original thread about the Rotary Sammi, so heres a new one with the pictures that were sent to me to re-size and post. Looks like it could be a fun little rig.

PS - Sorry it took so long, I havent been home in about 2 days, and then the forum wouldnt let me upload anything...

I dont think hes selling it, I think hes just showing us his fabrication ability and sharing his custom work with us. I personally think its kinda cool. That exhaust is kinda trick looking, and it appears that the 4 wheel drive will still work too, thats cool . I would like to see more of people swapping the rotary into other cars. I also would like to have some more information about this, and what its intention is.

Just because the car looks crappy in your opinion doesnt mean that the person isnt proud of the work theyve done and dont deserve any positive criticisim. I honestly thought better of this forum. For all you know its a custom demolition durby car, or off road rock crawler that doesnt have to look good. Maybe its just the "beat up 4x4" lover in me, or maybe its because I can relate to not having money to make everything chrome custom made and carbon fiber, but I know that just because something is rusty and dented to hell with mis matched painted body panels and duct taped seats doesnt mean that it doesnt have dual transfer cases, air lockers, johnny joint shackels, nitrogen shocks, etc and will out wheel anything. Translation, once again, just because it may not look the best doesnt mean that it isnt the best to the builder.

That turck is way cool!!!!
Can't wait to see that thing on the road! A 4x4 taching 7,000 RPM is a sight I have never seen!
More pictures, please!!!
Wanna see more!
When you cut yourself working on that thing are you giving a sacrifice to the Mazda God or the Suzuki God?

Yeah, something kinda told me that its wasnt built to be a pretty daily driver but a fun off-road truck . I think its pretty badass personally, and Id like to see more of it. Also, a rock crawler buggy with a rotary might be kinda cool. The high RPM redline would be neat for crawling because you could gear it down so low that you could keep the RPMs massivly high and keep lots of power at the wheels... Hmmm... Interesting ideas forming...
~T.J.
EDIT: It also just occured to me that for mud drags, that high RPM redline might be ideal as well . My friend takes his late 80's ranger (better known as 'anger' because we broke the R off the side badge, lol) out to the mud drags, and thats one thing he complains about is not being able to rev out the gears very long and loosing time shifting so much.

Sorry Guys, I was grumpy.
Based on the very limited pictures, it didn't look like much at all.
I am kinda spoiled about Rotary Suzuki jeeps. I've seen about 5 in person, and my friend used to race his with a 13BT on the street - back in the early 90's.
However, they were all for street racing, and some had full RX-7 Turbo II drivelines in them. Tranny, Rear Diff, etc.
I never though about using them for off-roading, as their short wheelbase made them less than ideal though.

Man that is well put.
People need to relax around here.
Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.
Just because somethig does not look like it came off of the showroom flour does not mean it sucks.
If this guy wants to put his time, effort, and money into this project then we should say "thats great man how can we help"
This is suposed to be a community of rotory power enthusisats not a bunch of A-Holes that pick every little thing to pieces because they secrettly think there Dick is too small.
We need to help each other not hate each other.
This forum was stating to come back up again, but if this trend of bashing every little thing that does not look brand new contiues then we are all gonna lose in the end because people are just going to stop reading and stop posting and at that point the community will cave in on its selfe and we will all losse our support and information structure that we have all learned to relie on, thanks to all of the open minded and helpful people that take the time to post construcive and helpful information
Ok that about ends the rant version II
later

How did you adapt the FB trans to the zuki transfer case? short driveshaft?
I while back I remember someone saying you can take a T2 bellhousing and put it on a B2600 trans.

My mom has a B2600i 4x4 and never maintains her cars... It's already ticking pretty bad, and is going on 7k miles without an oil change.
