Rotary Engineering dual weber trouble

Is anyone familiar with the 28/36 DCD dual Weber Carb set up originally developed by now out of business Rotary Engineering. I have this set up on a 12A with headers. The engine is reluctant to idle below 2000 RPM. On occasion it will idle as low as 1600 RPM. The header pipe from the rear housing over heats in about a minute and glows red. I can see fuel flowing from the discharge nozzle in the venturi of the rear carb. The front carb seems to be running on the idle jet. both mixture adjustment screwa are set at two turns. Various setting have been tried on the idle adjustment screws. The float adjustment has been check and rechecked more than fifty times. Nothing seem to work. The spark plugs indicate possible rich mixture. But I think the over heating heared indicates lean. Can anyone help me get this right. I need help. I have been fiddling with thei set up for two years

Sounds to me like you have way too much carb, almost every rotary I've seen on line or at the track (Summit Point) uses 1 side draft DCOE or 1 down draft IDA

Too much fuel pressure, and the car is running rich.

Have the carbs been properly synchronized?
Keeping the dual carbs synched is the main downfall of those dual DCD setups. They have great midrange when they're working properly, though.

toreply to others. Each of the weber carbs is fed by one facet fuel pump with a fuel preasure regulator set at 2.5 psi
I do not know how to determine if I need to change the needle and seat additional parts could be hard to find more info on this aspect would be appreciated.
The responder in Eastpoint can Email me At
