unknown

1 Will 15x7 GT -3's with 18 mm offset work on an SA GS with 225/50-15 tires?
2 How will they change from the normal 40mm to the 18mm?
By a 22mm thicker center (which would add lbs) or by attaching the center to the rim at a different point (increasing the lip)?
3 What will they weigh?
4 What will they cost?
5 How much is shipping to 95315?
I think there are 9 pages of thread and yet these critical things are not known.
I believe that is likely to be why there are not more willing to commit.
I had some wheels custom built once and they did not understand the difference between offset and backspace. The wheels would not work on my application and they would not correct the problem so I sold them to someone who could use them and started all over with a different wheel co.
I do not want to go through that again.

Actually several of these are covered if you read it thoroughly

1. +18mm is stock offset for an RX7, non SE model, check with tire rack on size suggestions.
2. They relocate the center of the rim.
3. Weight of J.SPL is reportedly 11lb, check the Rota website in the first post.
4. Prices are listed several times, they go down if more people order the wheels.
5. Shipping is subjective to weight, and location, do your research then go to UPS.com

^^^^might be a good thing to ask rota, maybe that's part of business tho, we come crawling back when a wheel breaks(if it does, i am not saying the wheels or rota are crap, but we would need custom wheels and i dont think we would get a deal again, would we??)

It didnt seem like anyone wanted the gt3's, if 4 people come together for them i will be number 5 but that didnt seem to happen, maybe we should do two threads, one for jspl and one for gt3, if neither get started soon i will do them and try to do some photoshopping

Im not mad just impatient, sorry "rotormotor" your doing your best, you rock
God bless

i made two seperate threads for the leading two wheels(jspl, gt3) i thought we should start a new and get a closer to final count, and give the gt3's yet another chance

Hey Everyone! I just finished trying out my mock-up wheel- it was harder than I thougt but I am glad I did it-

The first mock-up wheel was made to match the specs of a 15x7 (+18mm offset) wheel with 205-50 tires- this setup was too tight on the back of the front wheel- where the tire would touch the stock spring. the front was flush but too close to the fender lip. sorry no pics- the batteries in the digital camera were dead- so I put it to charge for the next setup-

The Second mock-up wheel was made to match the specs of a 15x7 (18mm offset) with 195-50 tires - this setup had more room all around with space for the tire to "give" when turning hard- see pics.

The rear wheel on both setups had more than enough room- see pics

Well- I will post the list of buyers I have tomorrow morning- if you dont see your sig- let me know or if you are interested just PM me your email address & the wheel type (JSPL or GT3) & color- I will contact Rota tomorrow to start things rolling- let me know if you have any questions-

rotrmotr,

I dont think the offset would change for the 16 in?
Looks like it might look good,I just dont like a flat wheel, which is my concern.
Them fenders are going to need the lips rolled.

I want the GT3,I dont know what color,My car is going to be repainted white, same as the 10th AE.So basically i can do any color,Id even go with that wild *** red.

I have side skirts, front air dam,and a few diffrent wings im going to put on,This si why I want a deeper look.

that makes sense, deep dish is the way to go with alot of body mods like that, i really like the gt-3 and i think they will suit the car well....do you think that the fenders will really have to be rolled with a 15x7' wheel?............

- i think white gt-3's (especially in 16") would look awesome on a white car....or the slightly bronze too

In this pic,the wheel is flush with the outer fender.Keep in mind you have about 2- 21/2 more inches of tire on top of that, with weight and body roll.

I personally* I will take the time and roll my lips.I just feel its better that way.

What does Rota say for the offset?

I think black would look the best on a white car, especially with all the black trim.

Bronze would look cool too, but I haven't seen a whole lot of that.
