Question Rip UPDATE

I got my motor out... sitting on a cherry picker right now... as soon as I get a stand built I will tear it down... I Turned my motor over a couple times and looked at the housings from the exhaust ports... They look PERFICT... I know that really doesn’t mean much but at least the chrome isn’t pealing off... So who wants to start making bets on how bad off my block is??? AFTER my NICE 8500-9k shifts... and my FORMOR habits of driving around town in 1st gear... (WHEN I WAS 16)

I think you might be suprised how well it looks on the inside. I knwo when I opened up a TII motor I was rebuilding, I was shocked at the lack of wear! But a couple of apex seals did look like ****, thank goodness for boost pressure

Good luck with the motor. I hope your massive torque producing shifts haven't wrecked your housings.

I can't drive in 4th in like 30-35mph zones...lag and bogging. Rotaries were made for high rpm use and you should refrain from loading the engine, especially going uphill. I'll tell you what though, second gear at about 5,600-7,200 rpms in town REALLY, REALLY makes them turn their heads and look twice. The turbo is pretty much at full song. It's a drug that will wake you up and make you fly. There is nothing else like it in the world, you're so invincible. No one can touch you. Not even the cops. Yet.
