Right hand drive
So I'm still looking for a fb. Came across a right hand drive model. Can anyone comment on the legality or any hoops you'll have to jump through? Aside from the dashboard and steering linkage anything else which would be potentially prohibitive down the road?
Also a bit of a ridiculous question, but what years was the first gen available in rhd? Still 79-85?
And lastly is a Japanese rhd preferred over an aussie or other way around? Just trying to see if either is easier to register based off countries vin structure.
I'm guessing I'd be okay to register and drive if it's 35 years old?

clutch and brake masters as well. Plus it must be really crowded on that side, I
gotta think the heater core and condensor are offset the left under the dash
but do they redo the radiator/cooling piping in the engine bay? Curious now.

Heater core return must be on the other side. No way they would pipe it all the way around. Must be a specific RHD radiator.
Mazda musta made the rotary for LHD cars, because no one in there right mind woulda put all that stuff so close to the exhaust. They coulda just as easily flopped the internals of the engine around so it would intake and exhaust on the left side, but they didn't. I think they were trying to sell to America.
All this trash talk aside. I'm sure there are some people who don't mind the inconvenience, and would like a RHD 7. To them I say go for it if that's what you're into. And for those rotaring on the other side (hehe areosmith) I say sorry guys.
