Hello all. My GSLSE has been running fine, just needs regular mini fills of R12 to keep blowing cold air. Don't drive it much in fl. here in late summer.I have a question. My stock suspension is running about 20" in ht. at bumper top while the front is about 16.5" I think it has sagging springs. Does anyone know the correct stock ride ht. for front/rear? Suggestions? I have coil spring rubber brace set, but that wont get me much ht. BTW I searched threads first and looked in shop man?, not mentioned.
Try the "technical data" section of the shop manual.
Should be 14.3" from wheel center to fender in the front and 14" in the rear.
The suspension section notes the free length of the springs if you want to go through the trouble of removing them.
The FSM specs the height from the ground to the center of the rubber bumper strips on each bumper (on an SA) to be 1724-19.76 inches for the front and 17.32-19.84 for the rear. So about 2.5 inches of play allowed but its obvious the car is raked a bit with the rear being slightly higher. See section 14-B-2 and 14-C-2 in the FSM for the details.
