Thumbs down ricer crap in vitoria british?

has anyone seen this?

they've got led underbody glow lights in the victoria british catalog. And there's actually a picture of them on a fb! I hope NONE of you guys think of buying them. The next thing you know, they'll be stocking 2 ft. alumminum wings.

I really don't see what is so wrong with having Neons under your car... If you are building a race car...NO. But for a car you drive to car shows, drive ins ect, if done tastefully they can really compliment a show cars appearance.....

Victoria British is just trying to keep marketability up. Believe it or not, the 7's are probably their lowest priority there. They sell tons more stuff for MGs (and trucks from the Long Motor side). When I worked there, I'd have to say maybe 1 out of every 1000 customers were buying parts for 7's. These are just attempts to boost some sales, and it will probably work...the guy that runs that place is a genius with this stuff. Trust me.

I agree with the statement about underglow being decent if done right. I just fixed a set that I put on my friends Miata a long time ago and got it working again, and in all honesty, its pretty cool looking. Its heading towards a show car with a tasteful body kit and stuff, so it goes.

I thought about rigging my own...the VB ones are just LEDs, so it would be pretty simple if one took the time.

VB probably just wanted to see if underbody lights would sell.

>>Ricers<< have their obsession, we here have our obsession. I love the fear in a ricer's eye as they see my dirty 25 year old car with primerred spots, oxidized paint, and a miss matched hood bearing down on them!

thank you for saying this... i have under glow on my FB and it looks awesome with the black paint job i have... my FB is built for drifting and 1/4 mile racing and some local car shows... so screw you all that dont like it... if you dont then so be it suck it up and move on its not like its on your car... no ones making you put them on your car... if i like it then i will have them on my car... all that matters is that the person that owns the car like its then thats that... end of discussion...

If you could afford a show car, you would not be calling it gay.

We just got his Miata down off the jack stands today, so its actually sitting on the ground and the lights are the real distance from the ground, and the body kit is on. We're starting the prep for paint in a couple days, but the underglow looks pretty fawking cool actually. I like it a lot. I got them mounted tucked up under by the frame rails, so theres no hope of seeing the tubes, even if you were to lay down next to it. All you see is the glow of light under it, its pretty damn cool. I did a good job, even if I do say so myself.

I used to like them. But after seeing them on a few Ford Focuses and Chevy Cavaliers done horribly, I lost interest.

Maybe I'll experiment one day, but I'd rather rice with carbon fiber instead. Cops just love underbody lighted cars.
