The Rexas Rotary Massacre
The Rexas Rotary Massacre
Hey, this is kind of post whorish but i thought i should post some pictures of the new car. Im sure a few of you already know who i am from my other threads so im not going to introduce myself again.
the car is a 1984 with only 133,XXX km. Its an auto
and currently really dicks the dog. Dicks it so bad that i cant even rev the engine in park or neutral to redline. Working on the secondaries, but the car has sat for a year so who knows.

The transmission in my car was the same way when I bought it. I couldn't drive it though because the clutch packs were so bad.
A transmission swap to manual isn't that hard Use some angle iron as your mount, and get a lightweight flywheel. Everything pretty much is a bolt up.
Good looking car!

haha we were already talking about how we call it the nazda. YA the 5 speed would be kewl, btw, when i wired the secondaries to mechanical, my car now doesnt idle worth ****. Wheres the idle screw on these carbs?
circled in red is the idle screw, and the green is the Air/fuel mixture screw. Don't mess with the Air/fuel mix screw unless you know what your doing. Before you adjust the idle, make sure that the secondary butterfly closes all the way, this could be causing a rough idle or no idle

lol definately not ruining my car for your pleasure. I do work on carbs alot so i think i can adjust the screw without and dismay. So il go out and try it, the problem is that is stumbles, and it really smells like fuel.

looks good welcome have fun damn im soo drunk again
i would agree that you shoul have a look at the accerlerator pump diaphram and or gasket. when you rev the engine, look on the left side, above the idle speed adjustment screw, you'll see your accelerator pump cover. see if you are leaking gas out when you rev it.
mine was bad when I bought it...if it is leaking, you might as well order a whole rebuild kit because if you go through mazdatrix for just the pump, the cost for the rebuild kit will be pretty close to what the pump would cost.... i think a difference of maybe 10 or 15 dollars
Thanks for the help, i believe its the AP. I looked at mtrix's website to check on how to do the mod. I have mech secondaries remember and no emmisions. So i might as well just orderd the bloody thing and get it fixed.
lmao, when your coming straight off the exhaust manifold to two feet of pipe, its kinda loud. What am i talking about, its ******* loud. REdiculasly. BUT ANYWAYS
I broke one of the studs on my exhaust manifold, one of the two that join the exhaust to the bottom flange. NOw what am i going to do? I tryed vice grips, no luck, im thinking of cutting the one off with a grinder, then drill the hole out, and use a spring bolt to hold the exhaust to the exhaust mani. What do you think?
