Retarded Headlamps Pt2

I Have An 84 With A Wink, My Left Lamp Doesn't Pop Up When The Switch Is Turned On. Any Tips Or Tricks?

It's one of the fuseable links in the engine compartment near the battery.

Had a similar problem where the left light would not go down when the switch was turner off. Turned out to be corrosion in the connector going to the headlight motor. Pulled it apart and cleaned the terminals and the problem was solved.

looking down over the fender is the fusable link to the left or the right of the headlamp harness plug or is it on the inner fender

Mine was a lot cooler: it'd close the left light, but the right staye opened. Then, a few minutes later, with nobody in the car, and keys removed, it'd close all by itself. Never really figured out what was wrong...
