I always thought of it as "wine;" to me, maroon is much darker.

Agreed, more like fine red wine. We should call it "red" instead of "maroon"

Here's the interior from the Silver One (the other is in the White One)

i've sold all of mine and now since i'm doing another GSL-SE conversion on a sparkling black 85 GSL, i want the red interior over the gray that it has in it. i prefer the red interior with black exterior.

I wish we could have hooked you up with Crit a few months ago, he picked up a tornado gray SE with a MINT red leather interior but he wanted the gray, so he proceeded to swap out the entire red interior for gray. I was the beneficiary of the rare mint condition driver's seat, that was the good news! I thought he was crazy but I didn't put up much of an argument.

Yep, he gave some of them to me. That's one of the things I gotta check on.

You coming down to Zoomfest this weekend? We can sweeten the deal with a free pair of red leather seats. I'm sure the wife wouldn't mind.

It's a little less than 600 miles, a day's drive

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?1c=Verm...raselton&2s=GA

Some pretty drives on that route, coming down the mountain on 77 in Carolina is a hoot, especially after midnight.

Sometimes the wives appreciate a little guy time. We could do some serious work on restoring leather seats.

We'll miss you Dave, it is shaping up to be a fantastic day, I just checked the weather, highs in the mid '80's, low humidity and lots of sun.

I'll be out prepping the White One later today and will have time to look around for spare red parts. I take it there's no way the 85 headrests are going to fit on your 82 seats but I will put one of my spare pairs on reserve for you just in case that is something you want to do.

This may not be useful to you anymore, but I don't see that anyone has mentioned Leatherique. I've never used it myself, but heard very good things about it.
