The other your talking about are the + wheels right? If so, then go back to the waffles. They match a lot better to me than the + wheels on the SA

Waffles are part of what make an SA an SA. Imho, + wheels do not belong on an SA, period. Since you said restoring, then yes, refurbish the waffles. Btw, there are 3 different styles of waffle wheels, along with the even rarer Almex wheels that were availible for the SAs.

Agree with Trichoid- SA RX + SA wheels. Don't spend a fortune refurbing though. lots of these "out there" at $25 ea of so. Check your local wrecker's wheel shelves. Even if no SA's in the yard, good chances there are wheels in the rims "Section". Media blasting does a great job cleaning them up BUT cover the chrome bolt holes or these will get the shiny finish blasted off!!

Stu I don't believe you, I know that you have a different one on each corner probably with different size tires too.

Seriously I got some information for y'all on SA rims(Stu you and Troch will appreciate this if you didn't know it), was doing my research and parts scrounging using the mazda systems. on the US spec style rims

Waffle rims like the pic at the top of this thread are (NKK make) their part number is 9965-18-5530. This is the common rim.

The Limited Edition Rim (Yokohama make) also all Limited Editions fall within these vin#s sa22c-542637 through sa22c-552248 part number is 9965-21-5530

The last ones my favorite (also Yokohama make, & i included a picture to prevent confusion) we only available as an "Alternate Alloy Rim" on cars within these vin#s sa22c-531149 through sa22c-568500 (which means I was wrong in an earlier thread these rims were only available on late 79s build dates of 12/79 and later) the part number is 9965-22-5530

now of course don't go looking for any new ones at the dealers I already did.
