restarting an unused car

I have a 1982 RX-7 GS with the 12A engine and 63,000
miles. It ran fine when it was last used, about 10 years ago. I am looking for advice on how to go about getting it back up and running. Any help would be appreciated.
I am in Columbus, Ohio.

pour Marvel Mystery oil down the carby and let it sit for a while... then try to start it. You don't want stuck apex seals poping out just because they were sitting in there.

Actually, I'd recommend pulling the plugs and trying to spin the engine over by hand. (put wrench on the E-shaft bolt and spin it over.)

If you haven't already DRAIN the gas. That really important....I thought it wouldn't be a big deal and tried to start it...I ended up ******* up my fuel filter, injectors etc.
Also change the oil.

I would flush everything and replace all the filters, spark plugs, and seriously consider a close inspection of the carburetor. I purchased a rx7 that had been setting up for 4 years and the carburetor was gummed up real bad.

When I got my seven it had been sitting for about a month or so, and it didnt want to start.

My dad poured some gas down the carb and it fired right up.
