Those look like the badges off of the old 929's. Looks like that emble came between 2nd gen 7's with no real logo, just badge that says mazda, and the ones that came on the 3rd gens that are more round than the ones above.
those are the badges Mazda used on all their cars during some years. FD's came with them overhere. They do NOT belong on a FB. FB's never came with those! Neither did FC's.
This logo is something from the nineties. My 626 (1995) daily driver has them, but a 1998 one doesn't.
What does "rest of the world" means? All european cars would have rats nests, and an air pump. Where does that car come from? Are you sure it's stock???

*sigh*
SA22C = VINS for 1979-1985 for everywhere but the US and Canada
SA22C in North America only covered 1979-1980, then they had to change due to regulations. Now Mazda uses the standardized VINs (FC, FD, FE style) on all their cars.
So by FB Body, SA22C Vin, he means S2 or S3 body, Non-North-American VIN
By "FB Body" he's talking about the Styling of the bumpers!

A better way to say it is Series 1,2 or 3. That way there's no confusion.

As I suspected the Emblem is newer than the car. I was also thinking it looked very similar to Renaults emblem. It was rounded to make it more distinguishable.
