replacing the steering wheel

My 7 has a 22 year old stearing wheel, and while i'm sure in it's hey day it was amazing, thease days it's cracked and faded, what are my options for replacing it with say a sparco or momo? I know I need an adapter hub, but can't seem to find any.

Regards,
sumo

momo or sparco should sell the hub with the wheel. and doing this would be a awsome idea, cause i did it and i loved it the feel and the look. way worth the change..they have some good grant wheels too, suprize for me to i dont really like grant..

AA thanks, the wheel is dead, it's crispy and while my car is on 4 jack stands why not swap out the steering wheel, you know?

If i was you, id try to find a OE replacement, cause I love the feel and look of the original wheel.

Otherwise, i believe mariahmotorsports.com has a section for steering wheels, most of them are momo iirc and i think most of them will fit a 1st gen. Check that out first, cause they got a big selection.

It's hard to find anything that says it will work on a first gen, but everything made for the 2nd gen will work perfectly. Hubs, wheels, whatever.

I've been wanting to get a stock leather S5 steering wheel for a while now. It's a nice feel, the same size as the regular wheel, and it goes right on.

I went to a auto parts store and bought a Grant racing wheel. Cheap, effective, and they had a hub that fit. It can just use a general Mazda adapter hub for whatever year your 7 is. Mine's an 84 SE for reference. Check out Grant's catalog bro!

I got an aftermarket Nardi and it feels much better than the stock thin rimmed wheel, better grip with a thick wheel.

I don't think that's true for all FC parts. I bought a Personal/Nardi hub and it did fit the splines, but would not go all the way to the back, so the turn signal switches wouldn't turn off.

Also, try eBay, I see lots of hubs there.

stock Rx7 wheel is a "big rig" wheel as my friend put it, get something smaller, you'll love it! i seriously can't drive a Rx-7 with a stock wheel and have nearly as much enjoyment.

check ebay, or the FS section here.. lots of nice wheels and adapters to go on that look great.

I bought mine at Advance Auto. They can order any Grant steering wheel and free shipping to your local store. I bought the GT wheel for $70 and the hub was $15.

I've heard that you can use a Miata steering wheel too. Can anyone confirm if this works or not? Do you need a hub adapter to use a Miata steering wheel??
