It takes about an hour if you have all the tools and parts on hand. If not, it can take weeks

The hardest part, probably, is getting that lawnmower belt on (and the fan OFF!). Other than that, it's just a very careful process of label: Remove: Store.
Just make sure to follow the instructions EXACTLY and it's easy enough. If you've never taken any of this stuff off (or are a basic rookie at this kind of stuff) be VERY slow and careful, and it should take a good afternoon. Us 'vets' "Git-r-done" in about an hour.

If you have a spare electric fan laying around, you don't even need the lawnmower belt. (At least, thats how I did it and it runs fine )

Buddy and I did the whole thing in about 3 hours, but that included swapping carbs and a modified manifold, then finding its an earlier manifold without the exhaust... crap, So had to fabricate a bar and some gasket sealer to get rid of the exhaust leak.

Fun project. :P

Car has a few more ***** now, Runs better than it did with all the emissions crap, And trippled the ECheck scores! Good thing ECheck will be gone Dec 31 in Ohio!
