Removing Paint

I just got a set of wheels, they look like american racing mags or something. They were painted black by the previous owner and they have chrome underneath. How should I remove the paint and not hurt the chrome? any suggestions?

if it is chrome paint does not stick to it well.. pressure washer should take most of it off if not all of it...just get nice and close and use a strong pressure washer...if you know some1 that has 1 it is proebley strong than the 1's at the car wash...altho the carwash 1 should work...

Well they may have painted them because the chrome is damaged, so I may be getting them re-chromed either way they look pretty decent to me

the pressure washer should work then.. even if they are polished aluminum. paint does not stick to it or chrome with out a very good prep.. you should be able to just blast all the old paint off and it is ez and fast
