Removing old Alt pulley?

I recently bought a duel belt pulley for my alternator since I removed my AC and air pump. I bought 2 new belts, but I haven't been able to get he old pulley off of the alternator. I finally was able to get the pulled to stop spinning, but when I tried loosening the nut, the bolt turns as well.

I'm trying my best not to trash this alt up until I can at least get my 7 to start. Any ideas on how to get this nut off. A quick search didn't come up with much as far as removal.

Thanks

Impact works best.

I forget if the stock one has a allen head shaft that you can secure, then back the nut off.

Best bet is to go to your local repair shop and at most $5 they'll spin the old off and put the new one on in about 10 seconds.

Impact and 22mm or 7/8" socket.

Most auto parts stores should have an electric impact with a few sockets to swap pulleys for customers.

Thanks a lot guys. This has been racking my brain for a few days now lol. I'll probably take it up to a parts store or just rent the tools as my supplies in my own garage are still limited. Little bit at a time though.
