I would think you could, but then you would have no AC and a bunch of dead weight from its componets

I can give a step-by-step process to remove the components if your actually interested in doing this.

I want to keep the AC so i can reconnect them during the summer and not have to go through all the crap of putting everything back on, it seems like just taking thr wheel of would be easier.

The AC doesn'y rob any horsepower unless it's on. There's an electromagnetic clutch that engages the compressor when you turn it on. Otherwise, just a pulley on bearings is spinning when it's off.

All you do by removing the AC system is unclutter the bay and save a decent amount of wieght.

Ya I took mine off just because I did not want to spend the money fixing it. The old a.c. mount works great for
a engine brace to shore up my soft engine mounts.

But if it had been working I would not have messed with it.

One thing with a.c. is they like to be used even in colder temps. I run mine on my cars once in awile just to keep the seals and compresser lubed. they last longer.

mine looked like it was dealer installed unhooked the high /low hoses from firewall pulled rad condensor compressor, hoses, and the harness came off as a unit, so it will be easy to put back on! for now i love the uncluttered look, i wonder if i could reinstall the mount and hang my supercharger on it?hmmmm

Cmon, here in Fl, its almost mandatory to keep it in a streetcar. Remind me never to sit at the same table as you in a resturant in summer time.
