remove AC condenser up front??

remove AC condenser up front??

hey guyz... when I'm going to do my brake job.. I'm going to yank out the AC lines and related crap..compressor is already out...would you folks recommend the AC condenser up in front of the rad?? good idea or bad???

I would most definitely do that. Why leave it in?? Its weight reduction.

Which is the condensor, the mini radiator looking thing?

also, what lines do i need to take out, do i need to block anythign off when removing the AC system?

Its the small radiator looking thing. There should also be a metal canister that stores the coolant near it. I just followed all my lines and cut them to get them out. I think removing the condensor probably helps airflow over the radiator.

By all means lose that sucker. While you're at it, take the cooling coils out of that big black box under the dash on the passenger side, or replace the box with a duct from a non-A/C car.
