Removal Of Rear Wiper

So my car has a broken rear wiper but it came with a replacement. I have searched and read the Haynes manual about removing it but I can't seem to get any info on removing the cover.

I can't seem to remove it by hand it doesn't wanna go. I don't want to pry against the glass as that is just a bad idea all together. Can anyone provide assistance on getting this cover off, if I can get it off I will make a how-to for the replacement.

Thank you!

On the outside, there is a removeable plastic cover that covers the nut (IIRC, 10mm or 12mm) at the "pivot/hinge". Unscrew that, and your wiper will come off.

If you're talking about the plastic cover on the inside covering the wiper motor, it just pulls off.

both plastic covers on the nut, and on the motor should just pull off, snap off w/e, very simple to take off actually. The only thing you may wanna watch out for is frail plastic on the nut, you might break it, so be careful with that.

Go wiperless. I swapped my backlite a long time ago, and I haven't missed it. The rake on the backlite is gentle enough that the airstream doesn't separate, and it keeps the backlite clean. I don't think the RX ever needed one, unlike SUVs and wagons who need one because the turbulent air back there keeps theirs dirty.
