Remote mirrors stopped working
Yesterday I went to adjust the remote outside side mirrors in my 1980 SA and neither one worked. They were working a few weeks ago last time I adjusted them. I checked the fuses and all have continuity. I don’t think the mirrors have their own circuit anyway and everything else electrical works. I checked the plug at the main toggle switch and the plugs to the mirror motor unit at each mirror and both appear to be making contact (I did unplug clean and replug). I would think it’s the motor unit if perhaps just one was not working but to have them both go at the same time would be a bit coincidental. Anyone have any thoughts, suggestion or experience with this?

Is it possible to "ring out" the wires to ensure nothing in the circuit is broken anywhere, like a continuity check with a multimeter...
I was going to suggest checking the 4-pin connector at the mirror to harness connection, as mine are corroded out.
I would think you can externally power the motor with 12V if you check out the wiring diagram. this would at least rule out the motors.

Sometime you just need to do things wright
So I went back through my circuit test to make sure I didn't miss anything and sure enough I found a bad fuse. It was the hazard warning light and AC circuit (top row farthest left). Both work fine now. As an extra bonus when I took apart the mirror assembly I got to clean the inside of the mirror receptacle. Lesson learned.
