Relays & connectors

On a 1980 Rx-7, what are the relays and connectors inbetween the firewall and strut tower on the drivers side? The haynes manual hasn't been able to help me?

I just cut them all out. I didn't need them since I didn't need to ECM, Cut that out too. No need for them if you got rid of the rats nest.
