Rebuild for turbo app??

Hey guys. I have decided to turbo my 12A then when that blows, I'm gonna drop a TII in there. But, I'm wondering if i should rebuild the 12A before i turbo it. I know that it hasn't ever had a rebuild and its got a little over 130,000 miles on it. What do i need and what would be more cost effective. I know it will be expensive but, I wanna pay the least for the best if at all possible.

Good luck with that. If you are planning on doing a TII swap, then don't waste your time destroying another 12A. Housings are getting harder to get for them. Start saving your funds for the TII stuff. Untill then, just enjoy driving the car. Just my 2cents

I can't agree more. Swaps always cost way more than you think, the little bits add up. Rig up your secondary so they are mechanical and enjoy the kick that gives you. Designing and applying a properly functioning turbo system for a n/a car just to blow the engine is so not worth the effort/money.
