Rear wheels make noise

I believe the rear bearings have to be changed at least thats what ive been told but i just wanted to confirm
When ever i accelerate there is a clicking noise coming from the back
Does that sound like the bearing need to be changed or could it be something else?

Well yes, could always be something else, loose ujoint or bolt on driveshaft, loose wheel, brakes that have lost spring and are being ground up in drums, etc.
