rear wheel bearing issue
hi, i recently bought a rear wheel bearing bc mine is shot. when i got it (from an ebay supplier) it was way too big. so i got the kit from black dragon, it was the same exact bearing. my fb is a 1984 S model but it has a lsd swapped into it. could my rear axel come from a 81-83? would that mean a much smaller wheel bearing? or do i have to try to figure out what the PO put on the back of my car?

Super simple way to identify big-bearing from small-bearing disk housings at a glance.
Look at the caliper mounting bolts vs. the bearing retainer bolts. On a big-axle housing, the caliper bolts will be parallel to two of the retainer bolts on the same side. On a small-axle housing, the caliper bolts straddle the point in the retainer bolts' triangle.
Super simple!

There should also be numbers on the bearing itself. You might need a magnifier to read them but that way you'd have the correct replacement or it might work to cross over to another brand more easily available, Precision, Timken, SKF or .......
