Rear main seal 12a

So i think i need to replace the rear main seal in my RX7. How big of a job is this?

I know i will have to drop the trans, clutch flywheel etc.. but is there a rear cover on these motors or is it just a pop in style seal(with a spring and what not)?

Just pops in. The hardest part is removing the flywheel nut. Save yourself some time/frustration and get the flywheel tool from mazdatrix.com and use an impact gun to remove the nut.

^What he said. Once the flywheel is off the seal is right there, usually not too hard to change.

Just be careful not to scratch the e-shaft getting the seal out.
