Rear Header Pipe Red Hot

In addition to my previous thread about idle problem, the rear header pipe glows red hot after running a while. I'm running open headers at this time.

Any ideas?

no actually it's not normal. If it's just the rear pipe getting red hot you're lean on the rear rotor, or there is a sevear timming issue just on the rear rotor. Don't know how that might happent though

Not normal at all. Either a fuel mixture issue, or a timing/ignition issue...

glowing in itself happens, and i'm not going to touch the "normal vs abnormal" argument. suffice it to say that even with a spot-on tune, i've seen some glow with really hard, sustained runs. however, it does sound like your rear is leaner than it should be, so i would look into your carbie.
