Question Rear Hatch Water Drain?

Hey all, I gots a question thats got me stumped. After giving my car a much needed wash, I saw that water drains from the rear hatch down into a small "gulley". It's hard to describe, so here's a picture!

Anyways, it's hard to focus the camera so close, but it seems the drain holes are quite plugged with dirt/grime and stuff. Any idea how I can clean it without breaking anything/scratching the paint? I thought I might be able to stick something down it, but I just wanted to see if any of you guys have run into this problem as well. Thanks for the replies!

Just stick a coat hanger down there. Tape it with electrical tape if you are worried about scrathing the paint.

There's a drain tube attached to the hole inside the car. Pull it off an push anything stuck in the hole out from the back side. This way you won't plug the tube. Then you can completely pull out the tube, clean it out and put it back. This is a good oportunity to make sure the tube is in the right place and in good shape.

I use a large plastic zip tie... =)

There's drains like that for the sunroof too, if you have one...

please make sure the tubes are pointed in the right way. or else you end up with lightend rear fenders.

That is too funny. I especially like the part about cleaning agents, or being scented.

Funny stuff
