Rear Hatch Strut (WITH Wiper)
I searched, found numerous threads regarding rear hatch struts. This question is very specific to the rear wiper. I need to confirm which after market struts have the threaded end of them so I can transfer over the wiper electronics.
VatoZone has the Mighty-Lift / Support Lifts for $20/each.
Advanced Auto Parts has the Strong Arm Lift Support: Gas-Charged for $22/each.
MazdaTrix some expensive ones for $40/each.
Ebay has a bunch of people selling Sachs brand for ~$20/each.
So, of those listed above which have the thread end so the wiper bits can be moved over?
Thanks.
Edit: Black Dragon sells some for $20/each too, but they say W/O rear wiper.

Are you talking about the little plastic attachment that goes on the passenger strut to close the contacts the wiper?
You don't need that... just run the wire along the strut with a little slack, thats how it was set-up on my seven before I got it...
As for the finding one part... let me know if you do, because that would be interesting to know.

I think the Strong Arm brand has a removable end so you can put the wiper connection on the upper end of the strut. Can anyone confirm that this brand will work?

My local Advance Auto Parts doesn't stock part #4709, which is the Strong Arm Lift Support for the Rx-7. Since I'd have to pay shipping online I decided to check MazdaTrix for their lift supports. Ironically MazdaTrix's part number for their lift supports is 4709 as well. I wonder if it's a coincidence or the exact same part!
They're $41.79 @ Mazdatrix and $22.44 on Advance Auto Parts website. Interesting. Well I'm going to get the Advance lifts and hope that I can sort them out with my rear wiper.
