Rear Hatch Hardware

My rear hatch will not adjust down tight to the body, there seems to be a piece of weatherstrip missing at the bottom? The largemain seal is intact and in good shape. Also, the paint on the lower edge of the hatch is chipped due to metal to metal contact. Any ideas?

You might have to adjust the position of the hatch via the hindges on the top..... i haven't played with that aspect yet, but i imagine they are slipping. But thats just a guess.

Try lowering the hatch lock. It's got two bolts on either side that you'll loosen to lower the locking mechanism.
