Question rear-end question

I think I got a pretty good deal today. I went to buy 5 brand new BFG Comp T/A tire on "+" style wheels today for $200. While I was there instead of dickering on the price I thought I would try to get some of the parts the guy had laying around. What I ended up getting on top of the wheels and tires was a new rear-end with disc brakes and 2 more rear calipers for $200. The guy told me that the rear was limited slip but I was wondering if there is a way to tell this for sure or not. Did all the limited slip diffs have rear calipers or not?

Ya all should have come with disc in the back.now if the disc aren't vented its a gsl rear end. If they are then its a gsl-se rear end

All disc brakes came with lsd from the factory. Some were changed to non-lsd by the dealers due to complaints from owners. Easiest way to tell is turn one wheel, if the other rotates in the opposite direction, it's not an lsd.

Depending on what year body the rearend came out of and what year your car is, you may need the driveshaft. The break point is mid 83.
