Question rear disc brake swap?

I bought an '85 vintage posi rear end for my '80 RX7. The newer rear has disc brakes while my car has drums. What changes, if any, do I have to make to the proportioning valve and master cylinder to accomodate this swap?

other than the brack lines you'll need to change the E-brake lines. I've just did this myself and those e-brake lines like to be a PITA.

everything is pretty much covered. just make sure the 'new' rear is not of GSL-SE fame. different lug pattern. and add limited slip fluid. good to go !

Thread pitch on the lines are different, the rear pinion flange will have to be changed to the one from the 80.

Everything else is a bolt in, easy swap.

It should be hard if you grabe the entire e-brake cable. All you have to do is: 1) remove the e-brake cover. 2) loosen the long stud whatever holding the e-brake. 3) slide it out and slide the new one in.

and when your tightening it, count how many times the adjuster clicks. Usually, I go by 10 clicks.
