rear disc brake smoking!

just recently i replaced my differential fluid and took off my brake and replaced the pads. i went for a test drive and after 10mins of driving my passenger rear brake disc starts smoking!
any insight on why this would happen. i havent tried anything yet because the brakes were really hot.

check your e-brake cable. Too tight maybe?

Btw, how did you install the rear brake pads?

Did you clean the new rotors off good with brake cleaner? They always coat new rotors in some sort of oily waxy crap to prevent them from rusting when they sit. You gotta clean that **** off before you put your pads on.

Also a stuck caliper or e-brake cable could cause problems.

I hope you used the correct method of depressing the pistons into the calipers. The good old C-clamp method is not correct for the rear. They thread into the caliper.
The C-clamp will work, but it usually destroys the park brake mechanism......
