Question Rear Differential Cover

Hey Guys,

I get a vibration at around 4k rpm's in second gear if I keep it there for a second. The previous owner went to the Mazda Dealership and they said I would need a whole new drive shaft, $300.

I've got two questions for you...

1) Where can I find the Rear Differential Gasket, I need good stuff, not crap that will blow as soon as I give it the gas.

2) Where can I find the U Joint & Driveshaft at if it does turn out to be the culprit; the driveshaft has never been replaced mind you.

Thanks,
Eric

what year is the car, if its 83-85 then you will need the whole driveshaft, the u joints aren't replaceable. www.mazdatrix.com sells an aftermarket shaft that has replaceable u joints, you should probably consider getting that one. as for the gasket, not sure, iirc its just silicone sealant....

There is no gasket for the diff to the axle housing. You can use some sealant for it if need be.
