rear defroster fix

rear defroster fix
my rear defrost wires are not attached to the windows how can i do a quick fix on this? would it be possible if i were just to solder it back on to the window

As long as there are the 2 strips where the wires went.
on the window your ok to solder. if there are no connectors left on the window, you can use just wire connectors, the 2 piece kind, one end solder to the window, the other, to the coil wires. I would say solder to the window first. use at least a 100 watt soldering iron.(because the glass acts like a big heat sink) all pieces,, file,, to clean metal, it'll stick better that way.
and use a 50/50 or 60/40 solder and water base flux.

That my friend would depend on how well you can solder. Sure you could,trying to solder in that area is a pain in the *** though (with the coil wire attached) use some hymo's to hold the piece. ( gets hot,real fast ) if you use your fingers, file all pieces, ,,, same gig.
