The stock shock mounting location on the 1st gen can not support the weight of the car thats why the spring location on the 1st gen body is so "Beefy" cause it actually supports the weight of the car. I built the front coil over setup on the front of my car and have almost finished the rear setup but they will be short and the coilover setup will be located where the stock spring is.
It will work awsome on the track but may not have the desired suspension travel wanted for the street.
That is somthing I am addressing at the moment by changing the mounting location on the rear end axle tubes.

yeah youd have to beef up the mounting location for it to work. my suspension holds the car up at the moment, so my money is going towards turbo swap at the moment

DriveFast7 thanx for the heads up thats a nice website.
But I did not see any 1st gen rear coilover kits.
Thats what were looking for not just a hieght adj. spring
A coilover kit will have the shock in the spring like the front.
They have some good parts though. Thanx again.

I tried to install mine yesterday and it did'nt work. Even at the highest setting it lowered the car 2" and it rubbed. I'm sending my wheels to ccw on monday to have the outer lip changed from 6" to 4". I'll be left with a 10" inch wheel instead of 12" but the 315's will still fit.

I should now be able to lower the rear at least 3" so it looks like this.

I'll post pics by Sat of the install and final results.

Luiml you should've gotten you springs from Gforce and the adjusters from ISC. G force modifies their eibach springs to fit better.

Didn't want to start a new thread.
Anyone have some info on the ISC rear adjusters? What spring they work and don't work with?
I'm pretty much stomped on this subject.

thanks in advance.

The springs you get from isc will work, but I know the springs from eibach will not work, the spring id is too small. not sure about other springs.

I am working on my 79 as week speak.

I am installing strange coilovers where the oem shocks are located. i may have to strengthen the factory bracket. Oh and i am running a toyota 4x4 rear end with 2nd gen 4bolt disk and calipers. I will post pics..

The ISC Racing adjusters also do not fit Racing Beat Springs.

I just installed mine and had to order springs from ISC as well after I found out the Racing Beat springs I had on the car didn't work.

No comment on ride since it hasnt been driven yet. But the quality of the parts, customer service and shipping time from ISC Racing is really good. Just give them a call.

I use the ISC rear spring adjusters and their rear springs to RAISE my car for rallyx. For street duty, I can turn them all the way down or simply remove them.

there is some more thread on the adjuster to go higher. don't remember how much.

if higher is needed u can get poly spring seats to put on top of the adjuster. from energy suspension.
