When I put in my Racing Beat rear springs, I cut the bumpstops so it would hit the bumpstops would limit travel before something got hit. It turned to cutting 1/3 off the bumpstops.

If you do not have problems with the car bottoming out in the rear, there is no need to modify the bumpstops. I need to trim mine down a bit, but I have older tokico springs, and it sits about 2" lower than stock. Rides good with less than 1/2 tank of fuel, on any road outside the state of Ok, otherwise, it tends to bottom in the rear.
