Question Rear Brakes Rebuild Kit?

Hi Guys,

I have searched and haven't been able to find anything on this, forgive me if there is something on this aready - I must have not searched the right keywords.

I have a 1982 SA in Australia. It has rear disc brakes which seem to be stock, anyway my rear right piston is leaking brake fluid - every time i pump it, a little more leaks into the rubber casing and if i ever squeeze the casing the fluid sprays out everywhere.

I also get some rattling / vibration sounds from the rear brakes.

I think I should really pull them down completely and overhaul them, but I don't know what to expect inside and what seals etc. i will need to get a hold of to do the job right.

I have attached a picture of what it looks like just in case it is aftermarket:

Wondering if there are rebuild kits that I could order for this.. preferably in australia but i would be interested to see other places around the world who make them, i could pay shipping no worries.

Cheers

Paul.

yes, you can get rebuild kits and they're pretty cheap. you'd be better off buying remanufactured calipers from an anto parts store. it will cost more, but save you possible frustration. especially if you get the caliper piston turned out and find that its terribly pitted and worn on the inside.
