Arrow Rear brake noise

I know that other people have this on their car. Does anyone know how to fix it? Its a really loud noise from the rear brakes when I coming to a stop. It almost sounds like a whale. I can't figure out how to fix it, and its annoying as hell. Any ideas?

PS I couldnt do a search, the search function was down at this time... sorry if this is a repeat thread.

hmm.......trying to imagine what a whale sounds like. anyways i imagine it as the sound you get when you hit the brakes for the first time after being humid out or a little bit of rust on the rotors?

have you pulled your calipers off yet? sounds like you no longer have any brake pad material left. i bet if you run your hand along the front or the back your rotor is going to be quite scarred (sp?) and extremely rough. you might be able to turn them, but more like new rotors and pads time.

there's also some goop that you can apply to the back of the pads that usually helps to quiet them down a bit...

Have you had your rotors machined lately? is it just on low speed slowing down or when you are doing a reasonable speed?

rotors are brand new, so are pads.

Whackyracer says it is the shims for the pads. I am looking at buying a pad hardware set.
